Leonard Garcia (12-4), Came over from the UFC and won his first two with the WEC, but recently was submitted by Featherweight champion Mike Brown at WEC 39 in March.

Joseph Benavidez (10-0), Coming into the WEC unbeaten has won his last 2 fights with a most notable victory over Jeff Curran at WEC 40 to become a serious contender in the 135 pound weight class.

Dominick Cruz (13-1), Cruz has won 4 straight fights since losing to former Featherweight champion and teammate of Benavidez in Urijah Faber back at WEC 26 in March of 2007 and will look to even that up with a win over Faber’s under study.
